Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee all lifting and rigging operations at the project site.
- Ensure all lifting activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and international standards.
- Review and approve lifting plans, load charts, and risk assessments before execution.
- Lead and supervise rigging supervisors, riggers, and crane operators to maintain coordinated operations.
- Provide technical guidance on rigging methods, equipment selection, and load calculations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify lifting gear condition, certifications, and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and HSE teams to ensure safe work practices.
- Investigate and report any incidents or near-misses related to lifting operations.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for rigging teams on safe lifting techniques and equipment handling.
- Maintain records of lifting equipment inspections, certifications, and maintenance.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure strict adherence to lifting safety procedures.
- Demonstrate effective leadership by motivating, coaching, and developing rigging staff.
- Make timely operational decisions to prevent delays and ensure smooth workflow.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and third-party inspection agencies when required.
- Continuously evaluate and improve rigging systems, processes, and workforce performance.
- Develop detailed lift plans for all lifting operations.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, rigging supervisors, crane operators, and rigging crews to schedule lifts efficiently.
Qualifications
- Must have Saudi Aramco Rigger I Certification (minimum).
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
