The salary range for this position depends on location and experience level, for CT, the range is from $114,332 to $142,916. For NY or Maine, the range is $103,939 to $129,924.
Job Summary
Responsible for the development and implementation of integrated and cost effective logistics and materials supply solutions. Provides day-to-day support and direction for managing all enterprise warehouses. Provides leadership and motivates employees to deliver cost-effective, high quality materials management services. Communicates effectively and builds consensus among company leaders, peers and subordinates.
Key Responsibilities

Participates in the establishment of business strategies and operating plans to link financial objectives of Materials Management Department with providing services to the OPCOs operations requirements. Takes leadership role in developing measures of customer satisfaction with OPCOs. (30% of time, Primary)

Establishes guidance, policies and performance metrics to allow for effective management of stores inventory. (25% of time, Primary)

Coordinates with operating companies to achieve appropriate inventory levels. (20% of time, Primary)

Responsible for managing inventories to the appropriate levels while maintaining high availability for critical materials (as defined by the operating groups). (15% of time, Primary)

Mentors and establishes development plans for warehouse team material planning team members. (10% of time, Secondary)

Manage the relationship with manufacturers and distributors in regards to supply planning

Give support to Operations by providing the historical data required to develop material forecasts.

Provides expert advice to the Networks business in regards to the service quality requirements to be included in material purchases (either Framework Agreements or Spot Buys).

Manage material inventory for storm events, including, but not limited to, managing multiple resources, managing supplier performance, maintaining effective internal and external communications, maintain proper pre storm inventory levels, and managing personnel coverage levels

Experience/Training:

8-10 years of inventory control and material management experience

3-5 years of management experience with a demonstrated knowledge of Corporate wide business processes and operations.

Demonstrated track record of achieving cost reductions through logistics and inventory initiatives.

Clear understanding of financial factors impacting indices, markets and key suppliers.

Required Education:

Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience.

C.P.M., APICS or MMIS or working toward achievement is preferred but not required.
