Job Title: Manager MEP

Department: Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing

Location: Site

Reports To: Project Manager / Operations Head

1. Job Summary

The Manager MEP is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing activities across the project. The role ensures timely execution, quality compliance, safety standards, and coordination between consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Planning & Coordination

  • Prepare and review MEP project schedules, resource requirements, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate between civil, structural, and architectural teams to avoid clashes.
  • Ensure MEP works are executed as per approved drawings and timelines.
  • Lead coordination meetings with MEP contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.

B. Technical Responsibilities

  • Review MEP shop drawings, BOQs, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards (IS, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).
  • Monitor HVAC, fire-fighting, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and ELV systems installation.
  • Validate load calculations, equipment selection, and system design.
  • Conduct technical audits and quality checks on MEP installations.

C. Project Execution & Monitoring

  • Track daily/weekly progress of MEP works and report to Project Manager.
  • Identify delays, risks, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Coordinate inspections with consultants/clients.
  • Ensure proper testing & commissioning of all MEP systems.
  • Manage change orders/variations related to MEP works.

D. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Prepare MEP material requirement plans and coordinate procurement.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations and technical compliance.
  • Follow up on material deliveries and ensure quality checks on received items.

E. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain records of drawings, approvals, RFIs, inspections, test reports, etc.
  • Prepare MIS reports for management.
  • Ensure MEP as-built drawings and handover documents are completed on time.

F. Safety & Quality

  • Ensure all MEP works comply with safety protocols and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safety discipline among teams.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures for MEP installations.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting & ELV systems.
  • Ability to read/interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project / Primavera (optional), and MS Office.
  • Excellent coordination and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and site execution capabilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards.

4. Qualifications & Experience

  • B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • 8–12 years of experience in MEP project execution (depending on seniority).
  • Experience in industrial industry is preferred.
  • Salary: 70K-100K

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
