Job Overview

Chettinad Super Speciality Hospital is seeking a proactive and responsible Manager On Duty (MOD) to oversee hospital operations during assigned shifts. The MOD will act as the hospital’s administrative representative, ensuring smooth coordination between departments, resolving patient and staff concerns, maintaining service quality, and supporting overall hospital efficiency. MBA freshers with strong interest in healthcare administration are encouraged to apply.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee overall hospital operations during the shift and ensure uninterrupted functioning of all departments.
• Act as the single point of contact for administrative matters during duty hours.
• Handle patient grievances, complaints, and service issues with empathy and professionalism.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing teams, front office, billing, housekeeping, security, and other support services.
• Monitor patient flow, bed availability, admissions, discharges, and emergency situations.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and NABH/service quality standards.
• Support clinical and non-clinical teams in resolving operational challenges.
• Escalate critical incidents and operational issues to senior management in a timely manner.
• Maintain discipline, professionalism, and service etiquette across departments.
• Prepare and submit shift handover reports and daily operational updates.
• Assist in implementing quality initiatives and continuous improvement processes.
• Ensure proper communication between departments for effective service delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile

• MBA graduate (Hospital Management / Healthcare / HR / Operations preferred).
• Freshers with strong willingness to learn hospital operations are welcome.
• Good communication skills in English and Tamil.
• Strong interpersonal, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, hospital systems).
