Summary:

The Physician Recruitment Manager oversees a recruitment team that is responsible for leading and executing the full-cycle recruitment strategy to attract and hire high-quality physicians and advanced practice providers across the health system. This role partners closely with service line leaders, physician leadership, and professional services to align current and future provider workforce needs, develop targeted sourcing strategies, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact to onboarding. The Physician Recruitment Manager oversees all aspects of provider recruitment, including market and feasibility analysis, outreach, and pipeline development. This position also develops strong relationships with medical schools, residency and fellowship programs, and professional organizations to proactively build talent pipelines. By aligning recruitment efforts with the health system’s strategic priorities, the Physician Recruitment Manager plays a key role in ensuring the availability of top-tier medical talent to meet community needs, enhance patient care, and support organizational growth.

Required Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Recommended Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
Required Work Experience:
High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role. In lieu of a High School Diploma/GED, 7 years of experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Description
1. Develops and implements comprehensive physician and advanced practice provider recruitment strategies aligned with the health system’s strategic priorities and workforce needs.
2. Partners with service line and medical staff leaders to identify current and projected provider staffing requirements.
3. Sources, screens, and evaluates candidates using targeted outreach, networking, and relationship-building with residency and fellowship programs, medical schools, and professional associations.
4. Coordinates and tracks all aspects of the recruitment process, including interviews, site visits, reference checks, and offer presentation.
5. Oversees contract negotiation processes in collaboration with legal, finance, and senior leadership to ensure competitive and compliant agreements.
6. Tracks and reports recruitment metrics, pipeline activity, and hiring progress to leadership on a monthly and quarterly basis.
7. Manages recruitment marketing efforts, led by the Strategic Marketing and Communications team, including digital campaigns, job boards, social media, and attendance at conferences and career fairs.
8. Ensures compliance with applicable regulations, credentialing requirements, and internal policies throughout the recruitment process.
9. Maintains a robust database of qualified candidates and develops long-term relationships to support future recruitment needs.
10. Leads, trains, and develops recruitment staff to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of provider recruitment initiatives.
