Job Objective:
The Manager Portfolio Management will support the Head of Portfolio Management in overseeing Tabreed’s subsidiary companies across multiple geographies. The role is responsible for driving financial discipline, strengthening governance, initiatives across the portfolio. The Manager will act as a bridge between headquarters and subsidiary management, ensuring alignment with Tabreed’s strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
Financial management

Develop dashboards / performance reports and ensure the reporting of portfolio companies is timely and correctly reflects the activities, achievements and risks of these companies, as well as fulfilling the requirements of the shareholders.

Develop budgets, forecasts, long term plans in conjunction with the management of portfolio companies

Track and escalate red flags (overdue receivables, covenant breaches, funding gaps)

Coordination with banks to optimise financing for portfolio companies and ensure that loans are compliant with banking covenants

Identify and implement synergies across subsidiaries.
Business development
-
Support new connections by coordinating with GMs and their teams.

Assist in evaluating M&A opportunities, JV structuring, and integration planning.

Conduct financial analysis (valuation, sensitivity/scenario analysis, investment returns).

Build and review financial models for projects

Take part in negotiations for financing / refinancing of projects with lenders

Take part in commercial negotiations with potential clients

Review legal documentation on projects (in liaison with Tabreed Legal Dept.)

Work with Projects and Engineering departments to develop technical solutions for projects / companies

Produce analysis of risks associated with companies / projects

Present new projects in Tabreed’s Investment Committees
Operations management

Promote strong HSEQ culture in regional joint ventures and subsidiaries

Act as a link between Tabreed O&M and local teams to ensure that regular maintenance plans are in place, plant upgrades where needed are carefully managed and unplanned incidents are dealt with promptly with suitable operations and technical advice
Corporate governance

Implement good governance practises in subsidiaries and joint ventures by ensuring the existence of and compliance with schedules of authority, policies and procedures and board charters where appropriate

Draft and review board/committee documents, policies, minutes, and charters in line with best practice and regulatory standards.

Follow-up on external and internal audits to ensure that shortcomings are corrected quickly after they are identified
Shareholder / Stakeholder relations

Supporting role in developing good working relationships with non-Tabreed shareholders and senior management of subsidiaries to facilitate transparent communications and alignment of objectives
Team Contribution

Provide guidance to junior analysts within the department.

Follows all relevant Department/Unit policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Ensuring the organization adheres to legal frameworks in areas such as discipline & grievance, redundancy, and employment law.

Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualification
-
Bachelor's Degree in financial management, economics or a related discipline.

Master in Business Administration (MBA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred.
Minimum Experience:
-
7 - 10 years of relevant experience in either management consultancy, investment banking or corporate finance with a main focus on the District Cooling/Energy/Utilities/Infrastructure sectors preferred.

2 - 4 years of supervisory experience.

Ability to build trust-based relationships across cultures and seniority levels.

Excellent written communication and board-level presentation skills.

Development in sectors involving large capital investment decisions.

Project Finance experience preferably in the GCC.

Strong financial modelling experience.
-
Experience of closing Project Finance and acquisition financing preferred.
