Manager – Purchase (Spinning Division)

1. Procurement Management

• Plan, organize, and execute purchase activities for cotton, polyester, yarn, spare parts, and other spinning-related materials.
• Ensure availability of raw materials according to production schedules.
• Negotiate with suppliers for best prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain proper documentation of purchase orders, supplier quotations, and approvals.

2. Vendor Development & Evaluation

• Identify and develop new vendors, both local and international.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost.
• Build long-term relationships with reliable vendors and maintain a qualified supplier database.

3. Budgeting & Cost Control

• Prepare and monitor purchase budgets.
• Analyze price trends and market conditions to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Recommend cost-saving initiatives and alternatives without compromising quality.

4. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and finance departments for smooth procurement processes.
• Ensure alignment between purchase schedules and production requirements.
• Communicate regularly with the store and accounts departments regarding material status and payments.

5. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier agreements, and material inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with import/export procedures (if applicable).

6. Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels and reorder points to avoid material shortages or overstocking.
• Work closely with stores and planning departments to optimize inventory levels.

7. Reporting

• Prepare periodic reports on purchase performance, supplier performance, and cost analysis.
• Present monthly procurement summaries to management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in the spinning or textile industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
