Job Description

As a Retail Buying Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the product offerings and overall merchandising strategy for our retail organization. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the buying team in sourcing, selecting, and purchasing products that align with consumer preferences and our business goals. This position requires an astute understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape within the retail industry. You will work closely with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of goods. Responsibilities
  • Lead the retail buying team in sourcing and purchasing products strategically.

  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts of products.
  • Ensure timely delivery and quality control of purchased goods and merchandise.
  • Conduct financial analysis to optimize purchasing decisions and budget allocations.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships consistently.
  • Provide leadership and training to buying team members for performance improvement.
  • Analyze sales data to refine purchasing strategies and improve revenue growth.
  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure efficient supply chain and stock management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in retail buying, merchandising, or related roles is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to manage vendor relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market and sales data.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and financial analysis software tools.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines.
