Job Description:

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Sales Operations Manager based in India to join our Retail/CPG division. This role will serve as a key analytics and reporting hub for the global sales operations team, while also managing foundational sales operations processes that ensure data integrity and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to execute day-to-day operational tasks such as data auditing, CRM hygiene, opportunity validation, deal desk support and quoting. You will also bring hands-on experience configuring Salesforce to optimize sales processes. This is a global role supporting sales leadership across multiple geographies.


About the role:

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Salesforce and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
  • Deliver recurring reporting on pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, quota attainment, and sales productivity.
  • Support sales leaders with forecasting preparation, analysis, and process optimization.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis on pipeline conversion, sales cycle times, win/loss trends, and other KPIs.


Deal Desk, Quoting & Order Auditing

  • Collaborate with sales teams as primary operational support for deal desk activities, including reviewing deal structures and approvals.
  • Manage quoting process by generating accurate sales quotes in Salesforce and ensuring compliance with pricing policies.
  • Conduct order audits to ensure deals are properly documented and meet internal guidelines before processing and invoicing.


Data Hygiene & Operational Support

  • Perform regular audits of Salesforce data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and validate opportunities that close, ensuring correct stages, amounts, and dates.
  • Monitor CRM hygiene (e.g., required fields, pipeline cleanliness, duplicate records) and follow up with sales teams to resolve gaps.
  • Support process compliance by running checks on deal data and ensuring alignment with sales policies.

Sales Process & Forecasting Support

  • Assist global sales ops with forecasting processes by validating data and preparing reports.
  • Help streamline lead-to-opportunity workflows and ensure data consistency across regions.
  • Act as a point of contact for resolving data/reporting-related issues from sales teams.


Salesforce Configuration

  • Configure Salesforce layouts, fields, reports, and basic workflows to improve sales team efficiency (no major customizations or coding).
  • Partner with IT/Salesforce admins to implement minor enhancements and resolve user issues.


Collaboration

  • Work closely with global sales ops colleagues to provide standardized reporting across regions.
  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success on data alignment and KPI reporting.
  • Prepare executive-ready reports and summaries for senior leadership.


About you:

  • 6 or more years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Analytics, or related roles (preferably SaaS or enterprise technology).
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience with BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, including data management, reporting & minor customizations.
  • Comfortable performing both analytical tasks (reporting, dashboards, insights) and operational tasks (data cleanup, audits, compliance checks).
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work across time zones and collaborate with global teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, or related field required; MBA or equivalent a plus.
