About the Role
Pak Afghan Logistics is seeking an experienced and results-driven Supply Chain & Trucking Manager to oversee and optimize our transportation, fleet operations, and supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, trucking operations, fleet management, and supply chain planning, with the ability to ensure efficient movement of goods while maintaining compliance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end supply chain and trucking operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of shipments.
- Oversee fleet utilization, route planning, dispatch operations, and transportation scheduling.
- Monitor transportation KPIs, delivery performance, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, customers, customs agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service levels, reduce transportation costs, and increase operational productivity.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Manage vendor and carrier relationships, including contract negotiations and performance evaluations.
- Resolve operational issues, shipment delays, and customer concerns promptly.
- Prepare operational reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for management.
- Lead, train, and supervise logistics and transportation staff.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), fleet tracking systems, and ERP software to optimize operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in supply chain management, trucking operations, transportation, or logistics management.
- Strong understanding of fleet management, route optimization, freight operations, and cross-border logistics.
- Experience managing transportation teams and coordinating large-scale logistics operations.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, compliance requirements, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and transportation management software.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in international freight forwarding and cross-border transportation.
- Professional certifications in Supply Chain or Logistics Management are an advantage.
- Experience in Afghanistan-Pakistan trade routes and regional logistics operations is highly desirable.
