Meltwater is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow our influencer marketing team in our Hyderabad office. We are looking for a leader who excels in people management, mentorship, and delivery, while embodying the values of collaboration, open-mindedness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in mentoring team members, managing projects, and prioritizing tasks to ensure successful and timely delivery. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a supportive team environment and driving the team towards achieving our goals.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of 9+ engineers to develop and maintain software solutions that meet business requirements.
• Manage project timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software.
• Foster a collaborative and open-minded team culture, encouraging continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, providing guidance and support to team members at all levels.
• Own performance management and career development - setting clear expectations, delivering regular feedback and performance reviews, and coaching team members toward growth.
• Hire and onboard new engineers as the team grows - running interviews, helping calibrate the hiring bar, and ramping up early-career engineers.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering leadership across global offices and time zones to align goals and deliverables, communicating status, risks, and trade-offs clearly.

What You'll Bring:

• 2+ years of proven engineering management experience, ideally including managing or growing a team of 8+ engineers.
• Hands-on daily use of AI coding agents (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor), with a track record of driving AI-assisted development practices across a team.
• Proven experience hiring, onboarding, and developing engineers - including mentoring early-career engineers.
• 8+ years of overall software engineering experience, with a strong full-stack background.
• Strong technical foundation - enough to guide architecture decisions, challenge trade-offs, and earn the team's technical respect. Our stack is Node.js & TypeScript, React, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and AWS; deep expertise in every layer is not required.
• Experience working in a globally distributed organization, partnering with remote stakeholders across time zones.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
