Manager Tax and Corporate Affair

Job Summary:

The Manager – Tax and Corporate Affairs will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of direct and indirect taxation, ensuring statutory compliance, managing corporate legal affairs, and supporting governance activities. This role ensures the company's adherence to tax laws and regulatory requirements while minimizing tax liabilities through efficient planning.

Key Responsibilities:Taxation:

  • Manage and oversee direct taxes (corporate income tax, TDS) and indirect taxes.
  • Ensure timely filing of tax returns, audits, and assessments.
  • Liaise with tax consultants and government authorities for notices, assessments, appeals, and litigations.
  • Monitor and implement changes in tax laws and advise management on implications.
  • Handle transfer pricing, tax provisioning, and reporting for audits and financial closings.
  • Assist in strategic tax planning to optimize tax liabilities and improve compliance.

Corporate Affairs:

  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, regulations, and other corporate laws.
  • Handle ROC filings, board resolutions, and preparation of minutes for Board and General Meetings.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel for corporate matters, contracts, or litigation.
  • Maintain statutory registers, licenses, and company records.
  • Assist in M&A, restructuring, and corporate governance initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: CA / ACCA
  • Experience: Minimum 6–10 years in taxation and corporate compliance roles.

  • Taxation: 7 years (Preferred)
