Assistant Manager Tax required

A manufacturing industry at Ferozpur road requires Assistant manager Taxation to handle its taxation matters independently.

To qualify for the role you must be

- Preferably CA-Articles with at least 2 Parts qualified plus 2 years of experience OR

A bachelor's degree in accounting/business/finance with 3 years of experience in Corporate Tax, ideally in a manufacturing company.

What you will do

  • File all periodical tax statements including income tax returns, sales tax returns (federal/provincial), advance income tax, and withholding tax statements.
  • Ensure timely payment of all withholding taxes as per law and issue regular alerts.
  • Reconcile input tax credit from invoice to FBR portal and issue timely alert for payment settlement from non-compliant vendors.
  • Keep the team informed of all periodical changes in the taxation laws, their effect on the company's business, and execute changes.
  • Liaise with tax consultants for routine compliances, filing of appeals, pursuing pending cases, and seeking opinions on operational matters.
  • Establish and implement internal control policies to ensure adherence to taxation requirements by cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with the Payable and Procurement team on purchase returns and execute timely settlement of any debit/credit notes.
