Job Title: Manager - TBR Technology
Location: Chennai Office
Reports to (Position):
Department/Function: TBR Technology

Purpose of the Job: Responsible for Develop and control the tyre building , curing & final finish plant specific product spec, process spec, machine setup spec, in-process standards & inspection standards. Ensure product and process quality. Initiate, validate and control the process changes. Lead the process and product quality improvements. Industrialize new equipment’s.
Disposition of non-conforming in-process materials including green tyre. Coordination with corporate technology to industrialize new products. Analyze the field return tyres and take necessary corrective actions. Provide technical, product quality training to manufacturing team.

Major Responsibilities:

1.Develop and control the Specifications and standards:
Control of building, curing & final finish related Product spec, Process spec, Machine setup spec, in-process standards, inspection standards. Develop and review process FMEA and control plan periodically. Maintain Specifications.
2. Overview and ensure product and process quality:
Ensure (identify, monitor & control) the building process is operating within the specified norms and enforce product quality. Initiate, validate and Control the process changes. Lead the process and product quality improvements in tyre building
3. New equipment industrialization:
Establishment the process in new machines, validation and periodic revalidations.
4. Coordinate with corporate technology to industrialize new products.
5. Improve TMT’s technical knowledge on product and process through continuous training
6. Analysis of field return tyres and take necessary corrective action
7. Provide technology leadership in trouble shooting, process improvements and efficiency improvements in tyre building.

Knowledge (Technical / Functional):
Knowledge in Rubber technology,Tyre Engineering, Tyre uniformity , balancing & runout, Heat Engg / Tyre curing process and Quality systems.

Relevant Experience: 13 - 16 Years

Education Qualification(s): B.Tech (Polymer/Rubber/ Mechanical- Engg / Tech )
