Job Description
Responsible and accountable for staging the warehouse floor, managing inventory counts, forecasting, and planning shipments, implementing warehouse procedures, and monitoring and supervising the work of shipping and receiving employees in the warehouse department. This position includes standard managerial functions such as, but not limited to overseeing new employee training and evaluation, ensuring employee performance standards are met, and administering corrective actions and disciplinary actions.

Job Description

This position includes standard managerial functions such as, but not limited to overseeing new employee training and evaluation, ensuring employee performance standards are met, and administering corrective actions and disciplinary actions.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, waste bales, and transfers with common carriers.
- Direct warehouse personnel to perform the necessary duties safely and efficiently
- Control warehouse organization, participate in production meetings.
- Hire, train and evaluate warehouse personnel
- Write and maintain department SOP's
- Manage tow motor maintenance and repairs
- Align warehouse functions with all Quality, HAACP and ASI regulations
- Establish and maintain metrics to measure warehouse performance
- Understand, administer, and enforce all corporate and plant safety and compliance rules to employees under direct supervision.
- Monitor and ensure employees have a safe work environment.
- Reinforce PPE policies, requiring all employees to wear steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc.
- Ensure assigned work area is kept clean and organized properly as new inventory arrives.
- Monitor and ensure that all employees in assigned area are following all applicable food safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and facilitate all shipping and receiving of finished goods, raw material, and other miscellaneous items.
- Serve as warehouse manager to ensure all company goals and objectives are met. Hold employees accountable for performing all job assignments.
- Provide accurate forecasts of shipping and warehouse activity.
- Work in conjunction with Finished Goods and Roll Stock Cycle Counts to maintain inventory control of finished goods for plant.

Maintain warehouse area, including raw material, WIP, and finished good by completing inventory counts, weekly zone audits and addressing issues.
- Follow all Company rules and guidelines.
- Avoid unsafe practices or carelessness. Follow all Company safety rules and policies. Follow all safety rule specific to each machine and/or department.
- Cooperate with fellow employees.
- Minimize waste continuously while meeting production standards
- Achieve quality product while maintaining production standards.
- Actively engage in value-added activities that enhance our products and processes

Following all Good Manufacturing Practices in compliance with all Food Safety Requirements.
- Must have minimum of 5 years of experience in managing warehouse.
- College degree preferred; high school degree required.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Must be a team player with a "can do" attitude.
- Should possess basic mechanical skills.
- Capable of working in hot environment and in areas where inks and lubricants are used.
- Must be capable of standing for long periods of time.
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Must have basic troubleshooting abilities.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must have good computer and math skills.
- Must be able to read basic English.
