Salary Range: $90,000 - $140,000

Position Summary

The Logistics Manager leads a team to achieve efficient, safe, and effective receipt, storage, inventory, and dispatch of warehoused goods. In addition to overseeing the operations of the warehouse, position is responsible for managing the Material Handling staff..

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage shipping, receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes and procedures, and confirm staff compliance.
  • Maintain departmental inventory accuracy, investigate and implement corrective actions for inventory errors, complete corrective inventory transactions in a timely fashion.
  • Evaluate excess and obsolete inventory and recommend actions to reduce.
  • Contribute to planning annual budget, plan out expenses, analyze any variances, and make necessary corrections to help company achieve financial objectives.
  • Be responsible for managing daily out-bound shipments while meeting customer’s quality and on-time-delivery expectations and reducing total cost.
  • Lead continuous strategic and tactical improvement efforts in warehousing, packaging, and shipping functions while ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Oversee all warehouse employees, including creating schedules, providing coaching and mentoring, and issuing corrective action when required. Recruit, hire, and train new Material Handlers.
  • Promote and enforce safety regulations, policies and procedures ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with state and federal safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications

  • This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization.
  • Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices.
  • Ability to create and manage warehouse processes.
  • Financial and analytical capabilities to plan budgets, monitor inventory, assess data, and create reports.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Skills in inventory control and management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • 7+ years of warehousing experience.

Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to move materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires pushing/pulling maximum force of 150 lbs.
  • The primary environment of this position is the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection, and proper footwear.
