Manual Lathe / CNC metal operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manual Lathe / CNC Metal Operator to join our precision machining team. The ideal candidate should be capable of operating both manual and CNC machines to produce high-quality metal components according to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual lathes and CNC machines to perform turning, drilling, and milling operations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Set up machines, tools, and materials for each job.
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating both manual and CNC lathe machines.
• Strong understanding of machining techniques and metalworking processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with Fanuc or Siemens CNC controls (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of programming and tool path adjustments (a plus).
• Good math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
