Job Description
Fiber Glass Systems is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our high-performance team at the Mt. Union Manufacturing facility, our highest-volume production site. This role is critical to ensuring reliable, efficient, and safe operation of all manufacturing equipment across the facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will lead the development and execution of preventive maintenance strategies, manage machinery control systems, and support capital improvement efforts. You’ll collaborate closely with Maintenance, Quality, and R&D Engineering teams to address operational challenges and drive improvements in equipment performance, reliability, and safety. This is a key role that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilites

Maintaining and ensuring efficient operation of all manufacturing equipment at the Mt. Union facility

Manage and maintain machinery computer control systems

Creating and continuously developing preventive maintenance programs to ensure performance and durability of the facility equipment

Direct maintenance department in providing maintenance and fabrication support throughout the facility.

Strong aptitude and creativity for equipment troubleshooting

Participate in capital budget discussions related to facility maintenance and improvements

Assign tasks and duties to maintenance team to minimize downtime related to repairs/maintenance

Capability to manage multiple contractors on projects while ensuring all parties follow HSE policies and facility safety regulations

Ensure efficient operation of all electrical equipment

Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Coordinate and manage activities concerned with technical developments.

Provide information used in preparation of technical procedures for tooling

Work with Quality Assurance and R&D Engineering to provide support on opportunities or issues

Interface with R&D Engineering to schedule and monitor necessary testing and development support

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering or related discipline

At least 3 years of practical experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Possess a high-level of technical aptitude and ability to understand engineering, design, and product performance issues

Project management experience a plus

Familiar with testing, maintaining and repairing, pneumatic and mechanical systems and components

Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power)

Self-starter yet able to follow instructions as directed, working with minimal supervision

Proficient verbal, written and analytical skills
