Manufacturing Project Engineer

Salary range: $80K-92K

Our client, a custom metal product manufacturer , is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to support process improvements, production operations, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role working closely with leadership to optimize methods, equipment, and efficiency across the plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement manufacturing process improvements
• Coordinate capital projects with suppliers (excluding technical selection and budgeting)
• Troubleshoot production issues and identify solutions to improve output and quality
• Maintain and update technical, maintenance, and operational documentation
• Support ERP-driven production planning and job routing; use ERP tools and data mining for analysis and problem-solving
• Collaborate on 5S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or Associate degree with equivalent experience)
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement
• Experience in metalworking or high-mix, low-volume production preferred
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with ERP systems
• Hands-on, collaborative approach to cross-department coordination
