MARINE ESTIMATOR (SHIPYARD)

Marine Estimator (Shipyard)

Responsible for preparing cost estimates and tenders for ship repair, maintenance, and marine projects by analyzing technical requirements and project scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, drawings, and vessel repair scope
• Prepare cost estimates for hull, piping, mechanical, and electrical works
• Develop BOQ and man-hour calculations
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams
• Prepare and submit tenders and commercial proposals
• Identify risks and ensure competitive pricing
• Support project handover after award

Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s in Marine, Mechanical, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in shipyard / ship repair estimation
• Knowledge of dry dock activities and marine systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Good Excel and costing skills

Preferred

• Experience in shipyards (Milaha, Nakilat, or similar)
• Oil & Gas / offshore exposure
• Valid QID preferred
