Fabrication Supervisor – Shipyard

To supervise and coordinate fabrication workshop activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of work in line with project schedules and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate fabrication workforce, equipment, and workshop activities
• Monitor and control daily operations to ensure productivity, efficiency, and adherence to schedules
• Ensure all fabrication works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Review and verify fabrication documents, including shop drawings and technical requirements
• Coordinate with foremen, engineers, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery
• Manage workshop facilities, including maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify workforce training needs and support skill development across production teams
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment
• Liaise with procurement to source materials and spare parts, including price comparison and vendor coordination
• Monitor and maintain records related to timesheets, attendance, leave, and workforce discipline
• Support planning and scheduling activities to meet project timelines and client expectations
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fabrication or shipyard operations
• Experience in managing workshop activities, manpower, and schedules

Industry Knowledge:

• Exposure to shipyard, fabrication, or oil & gas environments is preferred

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, and 3D modeling tools

Language:

• English (mandatory)
• Arabic (preferred)
