To supervise and coordinate fabrication workshop activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of work in line with project schedules and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate fabrication workforce, equipment, and workshop activities

Monitor and control daily operations to ensure productivity, efficiency, and adherence to schedules

Ensure all fabrication works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards

Review and verify fabrication documents, including shop drawings and technical requirements
-
Coordinate with foremen, engineers, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery

Manage workshop facilities, including maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives

Identify workforce training needs and support skill development across production teams

Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment

Liaise with procurement to source materials and spare parts, including price comparison and vendor coordination

Monitor and maintain records related to timesheets, attendance, leave, and workforce discipline

Support planning and scheduling activities to meet project timelines and client expectations

Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
-
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience:
-
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fabrication or shipyard operations
-
Experience in managing workshop activities, manpower, and schedules
Industry Knowledge:
-
Exposure to shipyard, fabrication, or oil & gas environments is preferred
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, and 3D modeling tools
Language:
