Marine Sales Engineer

Job Purpose

The Marine Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and managing sales opportunities within the marine and coastal sector by providing technical sales support and delivering engineered marine products and solutions that meet client, technical, and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the marine sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, marina operators, and developers.
• Promote marine products and systems including jet skis, pontoons, floating structures, and related accessories.
• Conduct client meetings, site visits, and product presentations.

Technical & Product Support

• Understand client requirements and recommend suitable marine products and solutions.
• Review basic drawings, layouts, and technical specifications related to marine products.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to support proposals and deliveries.

Tendering & Proposals

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and responses to RFQs.
• Support pricing, cost estimation, and commercial negotiations.
• Assist in contract clarifications and project handover to execution teams.

Market Development

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client needs within the marine products sector.
• Provide feedback to management on sales performance and market opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the marine field, with specific exposure to marine products such as jet skis, pontoons, floating structures, marinas systems, or similar.
• Experience in technical sales or business development within the marine industry is required.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Good technical understanding of marine products and systems.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in two additional languages is preferred.

Other Requirements

• Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
• Valid driving licence.
