Marine Capabilities (Marcap) LLC is looking for an experienced Marine Technical Manager to join our dynamic team. This position is critical in ensuring the operational integrity, safety, and efficiency of our marine fleet. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical knowledge and leadership skills to manage our technical operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the technical department, providing direction and mentorship to engineers and technical staff

Develop and implement technical policies and procedures compliant with industry standards and regulations

Oversee maintenance and repair activities for all marine vessels to ensure compliance with safety and performance benchmarks

Conduct audits and evaluations of technical operations, recommending enhancements as necessary

Engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies as the primary technical contact

Drive technical projects from inception to successful completion, coordinating schedules, resources, and budgets

Keep upper management informed on audit findings, project status, and technical issues

Stay updated on technological advancements in the marine sector to elevate operational effectiveness

Foster a culture of safety and continuous professional development through team training and mentorship

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum of 10 years of experience in marine technical operations, with 5+ years in a management capacity
Deep understanding of marine systems, safety protocols, and relevant industry regulations
Strong project management skills and proven leadership capability
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Proven 5 years of experience in PMS & Project Budgeting.
Proven experience on DP2 vessels.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Willingness to travel for onsite project supervision and audits
Demonstrated 5 years of experience with Preventive Maintenance Systems (PMS) ensuring compliance with Class and manufacturer's requirements.
