Job Description


The META Market Access Senior Manager will lead and execute public affairs, health policy, and reimbursement strategies across the Middle East, Africa and Turkiye. This role is critical in shaping an enabling policy environment, fostering strong relationships with government stakeholders, and ensuring patient access to the company’s innovative therapies and technologies.


Job Responsibilities


Government Affairs & Policy Advocacy


• Develop and execute a cohesive government affairs strategy for the META region aligned with global and regional business objectives.

• Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key policymakers, regulatory authorities, health ministries, and trade associations.

• Monitor and influence public policy developments affecting the healthcare, medtech, and reimbursement landscape.

• Lead the company’s representation in policy dialogues, multi-stakeholder forums, and public-private partnerships.


Reimbursement & Market Access


• Collaborate cross-functionally with regional market access, pricing, medical, and commercial teams to develop and implement reimbursement strategies.

• Drive evidence generation and health economics initiatives to support the value proposition of the company’s products.

• Collaborate with local teams to develop payer engagement strategies, funding pathways, and successful health technology assessments (HTA) or reimbursement submissions.

• Identify and pursue innovative access solutions tailored to each country’s healthcare financing model.


Strategic Leadership & Alignment


• Serve as a trusted advisor to the META leadership team on public affairs and market access matters.

• Lead a team of market access and government affairs professionals in select Middle East and African countries.

• Build internal capabilities and ensure best practices are shared across the region.

• Collaborate with related counterparts to align strategies and ensure cohesive execution.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Health Economics, Life Sciences, Law, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or market access in the healthcare sector.
  • Deep understanding of health policy and reimbursement systems in META countries.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence high-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Experience working in multinational, matrixed organizations and leading cross-functional projects.
  • Fluent in English; additional regional languages (Arabic, Turkish, French) are a plus.
  • Strategic & Politically Savvy: Understands regional policy landscapes and anticipates change to shape proactive strategies.
  • Influential Communicator: Builds trust with stakeholders through clear, adaptive, and persuasive communication.
  • Ethical & Credible: Acts with integrity and professionalism, representing the company with credibility in sensitive environments.
