Job Description:

The opportunity

We are looking for a high-performing Market Manager based in Cairo, Egypt, to coordinate and drive the growth in sales of our complete Grid Automation portfolio of products, systems and services in Egypt. This will include Substation Automation & Communication, SCADA, PCS and Enterprise Software solutions for mission critical infrastructure and power utilities. You will be reporting to the EUS Africa Manager (based in Switzerland) and you will be driving the sales and market share growth in Egypt. You will effectively apply the sales related tools to capture opportunities, manage customers (partners and end-users) relationships, improve internal communications, and increase sales efficiency based on your knowledge of the market, customers, competitors, and Hitachi Energy installed.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs related to Power, Oil & Gas and Transportation sectors.

  • Promoting customer understanding of full Grid Automation offering

  • Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

  • Maintaining and utilizing extensive network of contact both inside and outside the organization to achieve sales goals and objectives.

  • Creating added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy and ensuring the successful outcome by using value-based selling.

  • Negotiating contract conditions commercial, financial, and legal terms to improve terms & conditions.

  • Complying with the risk management process to ensure cost efficiency.

  • Full understanding of the sales process and related tools.

  • Proactively working with customers to explore operational needs and expectation.

  • Taking ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient customer issue resolution.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • A Master / bachelor’s degree in - electrical / mechanical engineering.

  • 10+ years of experience in sales within the Power, Oil & Gas and/or Railway sector.

  • Deep knowledge of Substation Automation and Communication for mission critical infrastructure and power utilities. Knowledge of SCADA, BESS and Enterprise Software Solutions is an advantage.

  • Proven communication skills, contract management and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to travel within Egypt.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written in Arabic and English is required.
