Marketing and Communication Director

• Developing and delivering segment- and insight-driven marketing strategies and campaigns that effectively bring compelling value propositions to market.
• Ensuring that the full Value Proposition is delivered where relevant through MetLife associates by enabling them to understand and buy-in to the full end-to-end customer experience and an appreciation of how their roles deliver on the customer experience and brand.
• Strategic outlook: Lead the overall marketing strategy and planning for Iberia, working with internal stakeholders and having a sense of ownership to achieve the business plans and set KPIs.
• Branding - Work collaboratively with the regional and global teams to manage the MetLife brand, design and launch marketing campaigns and programs, cascade and spread best practices across Egypt.
• Driving agency/external partner relationships and ensuring their alignment with MetLife’s global marketing model.
• Anticipating challenges and creating opportunities for positive change by leveraging deep personal experience and commercial insight, working across disciplines, organizational skills and seniority levels.
• Customer Experience – own and drive the customer experience agenda, deliver customer value ensuring customers stay longer, buy more and become advocates for MetLife.
• Campaign management: Drive digital demand generation and broad marketing campaigns, co-ordinate and manage the external agency partners to quality control the work and is delivered on time and on budget. Collect, evaluate and use data from previous and existing campaigns to develop strategic approaches of new campaigns.
• Stakeholder Management: Maintain a strong relationship with key business stakeholders and ensure that they are updated on an ongoing basis.
• Budget Management: Owning the marketing budget plans and ensuring that there is no overspend whilst having a cost-efficiency mindset.
• Quality management: oversee the work of internal departments and external agencies to ensure accuracy of marketing materials and secure formal sign off if necessary. Ensure that the brand and identity is adhered to in campaign materials. Aligning with internal Legal, Risk and Compliance teams to ensure that marketing work is up to local regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Manage Issues and Risk: Proactively identify potential challenges and devise contingency plans as needed.

• Working closely with the Heads of Distribution to understand business priorities and translate into marketing strategy to support.
• Working with Regional EMEA marketing science team to define research requirements to understand key customer insights.
• Working with the Product team to create a Customer Value Proposition based around core product, VAS and experience.
• Liaising with External Agencies to communicate briefs and give feedback on outputs.

• Minimum 12 years of experience in marketing, ideally within the financial services or insurance industry.
• 7+ years’ digital marketing experience and development of digital marketing campaigns either within an agency or client.
• Ability to work and collaborate effectively with multiple departments and with external agencies and vendors.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong executive communication skills - verbal, written and presentation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills.
• Undergraduate degree required in Marketing, Advertising or Communications.
• Experience with insurance products and value-proposition design a plus.
