Marketing Assistant

GTM Stores is a leading discount retailer in San Diego dedicated to bringing incredible value to our customers. We’re seeking a social media-savvy Marketing Assistant to support our marketing team and help us connect with shoppers in-store and online.

As a Marketing Assistant at GTM Stores, you’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager to execute campaigns, support digital content, and assist with promotions and community events. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, creative, and eager to grow a career in marketing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, and execute social media campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, & TikTok
• Create, proofread, and edit Weekly Ad for digital and print
• Use Mailchimp to create and execute email marketing campaigns
• Attend periodic community events, representing GTM with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Maintain brand consistency across all channels
• Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the marketing team
• Travel weekly between stores to capture content (locations in Santee & Chula Vista)

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in marketing, graphic design, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms and trends (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Proficient knowledge of design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
• Have reliable transportation with the ability to travel short distances (mileage reimbursement available)

Starting Pay: $22/hour

Days/Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
