Marketing Brand Manager

About the Role
We’re looking for a Brand Manager to own and operate one or two consumer brands within the alt super store ecosystem.

This is a high-ownership role that combines brand marketing, project management, and P&L responsibility. You will act as the internal mini-GM for your brand(s), accountable for brand strategy, execution, launch timelines, and commercial performance.

You’ll work cross-functionally to bring products to market on time, on brand, and profitably — while becoming the internal expert on your brand’s customer, category, and competitive landscape.

This role is ideal for someone who wants real ownership, thrives in fast-moving environments, and enjoys building brands from the ground up.

Core Responsibilities:

Brand Ownership & Strategy

  • Own the end-to-end performance of 1–2 assigned brands
  • Develop deep expertise in: target customer & use cases; product category & competitors; brand positioning, voice, and differentiation
  • Maintain and evolve brand foundations, including: messaging frameworks; voice & tone guidelines; visual identity usage
  • Serve as the single source of truth for your brand internally

P&L & Business Ownership

  • Own the P&L performance of assigned brand(s), including revenue, gross margin, and contribution to overall business goals
  • Partner with leadership, operations, and finance to forecast revenue and demand, plan product launches and promotions, evaluate pricing and discounting strategies
  • Make informed tradeoff decisions across: marketing spend, product mix, launch timing and sequencing
  • Monitor brand-level performance metrics and surface insights, risks, and opportunities

Brand Marketing Execution

  • Lead brand marketing initiatives across: website and PDP messaging, email and lifecycle campaigns, launch and promotional campaigns, key seasonal moments
  • Collaborate with Creative, Growth, and E-commerce teams to: brief campaigns and assets, review copy and creative for brand consistency, ensure messaging ladders back to brand strategy, ensure brand consistency across all customer touchpoints

Project Management & Launch Execution

  • Own launch planning and execution for: new products and formulas, brand initiatives and campaigns, packaging or messaging updates
  • Build and manage: project timelines, launch checklists, go-live schedules
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including: Creative & Design, Web / Tech, Operations & Supply Chain, Compliance & QA, Marketing & Growth
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks — and drive projects to completion

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Translate brand goals into clear briefs and priorities for internal teams and external partners
  • Hold teams accountable to timelines while maintaining strong working relationships

Documentation & Process

  • Maintain clear, organized documentation for each brand, including: brand playbooks, launch plans, messaging frameworks
  • Help refine and improve brand factory processes to support faster, more repeatable launches

  • Teams have clarity and momentum — fewer last-minute scrambles
  • Brand messaging feels cohesive across channels
  • You’re trusted as the owner and decision-maker for your brand(s)

Qualifications

Required

  • 3–6+ years experience in brand marketing, brand management, or product marketing
  • Experience managing or influencing revenue, budgets, forecasts, or P&L performance
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with creative, marketing, and operations teams
  • Comfortable owning timelines and making tradeoff decisions

Nice to Have

  • Experience in CPG, wellness, supplements, cannabis/hemp, or emerging consumer categories
  • Experience launching new products or brands
  • Familiarity with DTC e-commerce (Shopify) and marketplaces (Amazon, TikTok Shop)
  • Startup or fast-growth environment experience

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
