Overall Performance:
The Marketing Campaign Manager is a marketing strategist who rolls up their sleeves, crafting compelling copy, executing campaigns across email, social, and digital channels, collaborating seamlessly with designers and internal teams, and bringing events to life. This role requires analytical thinking, decisive action, and the ability to turn strategy into measurable results that drive Member engagement, value, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
● Content Ownership: Develop, write, and edit all marketing content, including emails, campaigns, newsletters, social media posts, blogs, and collateral, ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging that resonates with Members and key audiences.
● Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the Creative Marketing Specialist to design visually impactful campaigns and materials, and partner with the Meetings & Education Team to amplify brand recognition across events and educational initiatives.
● Live Event Marketing: Plan, execute, and oversee marketing for special events at conferences, ensuring engaging, memorable experiences.
● Digital Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement multi-channel marketing strategies across SEO, SEM, email, social, and paid channels, continuously analyzing performance to optimize campaigns.
● Audience & Campaign Targeting: Leverage audience segmentation and Member insights to develop targeted campaigns that increase engagement, retention, and conversion.
● Analytics & Optimization: Utilize web and campaign analytics to understand Member behavior, measure engagement, and apply data-driven insights to improve marketing effectiveness.
● Market Awareness: Conduct market research, benchmark performance, and identify new opportunities for Member growth.
● Innovation & Trends: Stay current with emerging digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices, testing new channels and tactics to drive engagement and growth.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
● Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
● 5+ years of digital marketing experience, including strategy ownership, campaign execution, and demonstrated results.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
● Exceptional copywriting and storytelling skills
● Expertise in SEO, SEM, and multi-channel digital marketing
● Hands-on experience with marketing automation, CRM platforms, and CMS (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, WordPress)
● Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills
● Collaborative, self-driven, and solutions-oriented mindset
● Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic oversight
● Experience managing cross-team initiatives and live-event marketing
● Creative, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with data-driven decision-making

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly work on a computer screen for extended periods. The employee isfrequently required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision.
This role may require limited travel within the United States, facilitated through a mix of air and ground transportation. Overnight hotel stays should be expected. The total number of trips is likely to be 2-8 per year and may include PLRB in-person conferences. Additional role-specific travel may be required depending on various factors, including employee location.
Work Environment
Work may be completed in PLRB’s office in the greater Chicago area or via remote work, or a mix of the two. Employee is expected to create a remote work environment conducive to successful execution of their role, including management of distractions, reliable internet connectivity sufficient to support video conferences, and reliable telephony.
The work environment of PLRB’s office includes ADA-compliant accessibility, and low to moderate noise levels.
The employee is expected to be available to work from 8:30am to 5pm Central, Monday through Friday, except on company-recognized holidays or personal vacation time.
PRIMARY RELATIONSHIPS
Internal
Reports directly to the VP of Marketing and collaborates closely with the Marketing team, Membership team, and Education team on promotional strategies, digital initiatives, and cross-functional projects.
External
Coordinates with external agencies and vendors as needed to support the execution of digital campaigns, events, and promotional projects, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.
