WORK SCHEDULE: Up to 20 hours/week on site, days & times TBD

STATUS: Part Time, Hourly, Temporary -until July 1, 2026

COMPENSATION: $20.00- $25.00/hour

BENEFIT STATUS: Non-Eligible

The Ebell of Los Angeles is a women-led nonprofit that has served the Greater Los Angeles community for over a century. Our mission is to inspire women and build community through arts, culture, education, service, and stewardship of our historic campus and collections.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Ebell of Los Angeles is a vibrant nonprofit organization rooted in arts, education, and community service. On its historic campus in the heart of LA, The Ebell presents public programs, arts and cultural events, community engagement initiatives, and educational offerings, while also operating as a venue for rentals, weddings, and member-driven activities. The breadth of The Ebell’s mission-driven work, combined with its rental income streams, requires cohesive branding and strategic communication across all areas.

The Ebell is entering a period of growth and reinvention, and its staff is rapidly evolving to meet those needs. We are seeking a creative, organized individual excited by the idea of supporting the Marketing and Communications department to help track and implement marketing and promotional campaigns. Campaigns range from single event to multi-faceted initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for tracking multiple event calendars, writing and proofreading copy that aligns with brand guidelines, supporting communications such as eblasts, social posts, website event listings, and online calendar listings, updating and printing programs for live events, updating and posting social graphics, and providing administrative support for organizational marketing and communications.

The successful candidate will be a good communicator with solid organizations skills, who enjoys contributing to a collaborative workplace during a period of high-volume content production.

This role is designed as a time-limited, surge-capacity position through July 1, 2026, with the possibility of extension.


Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & Project Coordination:

  • Track assignments, events and deadlines to ensure projects move forward on schedule
  • Maintain content calendars including website events, social posts, and printables
  • Gather and organize assets, including graphics and copy, from outside partners
  • Provide general department support for meetings and other administrative needs

Content Development and Storytelling:

  • Follow templates to update content for eblasts, flyers, graphics, and external and internal communications
  • Support development of clear, compelling messaging aligned with The Ebell brand voice

Visual and Digital Communications:

  • Follow templates to create and format basic visual assets for print and digital use, including flyers, event programs, signage, and social media graphics
  • Assist with finalizing social content, including posts, stories and Reels
  • Schedule social media posts and track basic performance
  • Monitor social media comments, direct messages, and community interactions
  • Update website event pages

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing, editing, and detail-oriented proofreading skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Experience with digital platforms including Meta and LinkedIn, email marketing tools, websites, Asana, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Reliable, collaborative, and able to meet deadlines
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 lbs (such as marketing materials, event banners, etc.) occasionally
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
  • One (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience, including internships or part-time roles, preferred


Compensation

Part-time position paying $25.00 hour for up to 20 hours/week.
