Position Summary
The Marketing Coordinator will provide direct support to the VP, Marketing & Strategy, and will be a key player on our marketing team. This role is perfect for a creative, organized, and proactive individual with 3-4 years of experience in a similar role. You will assist with the planning, execution, and tracking of various marketing initiatives, contributing to the overall success of our marketing campaigns and strategic goals within the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Operational Support:
- Provide direct administrative and project support to the VP, Marketing & Strategy.
- Assist in the development and execution of the overall marketing and strategy plan to support business objectives.
- Coordinate the logistics of marketing campaigns, promotions, and client-facing events.
- Content Creation & Management:
- Develop highly creative and engaging content for the Folk Williams Financial Management website and blog, ensuring all content is fresh, relevant, and compliant with industry regulations.
- Create, edit, and update the Folk Williams Financial Management website and blog, ensuring all content is fresh, relevant, and compliant with industry regulations.
- Write, edit, and proofread a wide range of marketing materials, including blog posts, email newsletters, website content, ad copy, and video scripts.
- Develop and schedule engaging content for social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter) while adhering to compliance guidelines.
- Brand & Lead Management:
- Maintain and enforce the Folk Williams Financial Management brand identity across all marketing materials and communications.
- Ensure all content and visuals are consistent with brand guidelines and industry compliance standards.
- Support lead generation efforts through various campaigns designed for the financial services industry.
- Market Research & Data Analysis:
- Leverage technology and generative AI tools to enhance marketing efforts, including content creation, data analysis, and workflow automation.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and target audience insights within the financial sector.
- Track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics and email marketing platforms.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations on marketing performance for the leadership team.
- Administrative & Operational Support:
- Manage and organize marketing files, assets, and calendars, with an emphasis on record-keeping for compliance purposes.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., sales, compliance, operations) to ensure alignment on marketing efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends, tools, and best practices in the financial services industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in a marketing or similar role.
- Highly creative mindset with a portfolio or examples of innovative marketing work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing concepts.
- Proven ability to use modern technology and a willingness to explore and implement generative AI tools.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about financial industry regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC) is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a proactive approach.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp).
- Knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
