Job Description – Digital Marketing & Web Analytics Specialist
Position Overview
The Digital Marketing & Web Analytics Specialist plays a hands-on, technical, and analytical role in driving marketing performance across paid media, email/marketing automation, SEO, and analytics. This role combines precision in execution with strategic thinking—ensuring campaigns are built accurately, tagged correctly, tested thoroughly, and analyzed for actionable insights.
This position requires a data-driven mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to connect tactical actions with broader marketing goals. You will be expected to interpret complex datasets, uncover the “why” behind performance trends, and make strategic recommendations that improve outcomes. As a critical thinker, you will proactively identify opportunities, address potential risks, and guide decision-making through a blend of technical expertise and marketing insight.
Key Responsibilities & Time Allocation
1. Analytics – 25%
- Configure, maintain, and QA tracking tags and conversion actions across various platforms (e.g., Kentico, other CMS environments, analytics tools).
- Perform simple code updates to support campaign tracking and reporting accuracy.
- Build and maintain dashboards (e.g., Looker Studio) with clear, actionable visualizations.
- Deliver recurring reporting presentations with meaningful insights, context, and recommendations.
- Apply critical thinking to identify trends, anomalies, and potential performance drivers.
- Conduct QA/testing of all tracking implementations prior to launch.
2. Paid Media – 20%
- Write and develop ad copy and creative for search, display, and retargeting campaigns.
- Configure retargeting audiences and campaign parameters.
- Implement A/B and multivariate tests using platforms such as Google Ads, Optimizely, or Clarity.
- Monitor and optimize campaigns against KPIs using both tactical adjustments and strategic insights.
- Apply analytical thinking to identify underperforming elements and recommend data-backed improvements.
3. Email & Marketing Automation – 30%
- Design image assets and create on-brand email layouts.
- Configure, test, and deploy email campaigns in Mailchimp or equivalent tools.
- Consult on CRM/Marketing Automation process improvements.
- Configure and maintain engagement studio workflows or other marketing automations.
- Implement tagging and basic code adjustments for email tracking and personalization.
- Apply a strategic approach to audience segmentation, personalization, and workflow automation.
- QA/test all emails, automations, and audience segments before send.
4. Design – 10%
- Create wireframes for web projects and collaborate with developers for implementation.
- QA/test design elements for usability, responsiveness, and functionality before launch.
- Think critically about user experience and propose refinements that support conversion goals.
5. SEO – 15%
- Conduct SEO data analysis using tools like Semrush and Google Search Console.
- Develop technical SEO recommendations and monitor implementation.
- Use analytical skills to identify high-value optimization opportunities.
- QA/test applied SEO changes to ensure accuracy and track performance impact.
Skills & Qualifications

- Deep understanding of web analytics, tagging, and tracking best practices.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, and tag management systems.
- Experience with A/B testing platforms (Optimizely, Clarity) and paid media channels.
- Proficiency in email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) and CRM/Marketing Automation tools.
- Basic HTML/CSS skills for implementing tags, tracking, and template adjustments.
- Excellent QA/testing mindset with a focus on accuracy and functionality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
