Marketing Designer

Job description:

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Marketing Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing and a strong understanding of various marketing strategies. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings fresh ideas to the table, and knows how to turn strategy into results. The Marketing Designer will play a key role in enhancing our online presence and contributing to our overall marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Content Development writing blog articles and website content (e.g., ingredient highlights, company updates, market trends). Assist with drafting and designing a monthly company newsletter. Develop editorial calendars for various media platforms, including social media, email marketing, and digital advertising, to effectively engage target audiences
  • Create and update marketing visuals including product flags, flyers, banners, and social media graphics
  • Maintain brand consistency in all visuals and content
  • Support email marketing campaigns and customer outreach
  • Post light content on platforms such as LinkedIn or Instagram, with support from leadership
  • Track engagement and help brainstorm new digital strategies
  • Organize and archive digital marketing materials and images
  • Help prepare materials for trade shows or other events
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity. Conduct market research to identify audience preferences, habits, and trends, providing insights to optimize targeted marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with team leads to set, allocate, and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective campaign execution
  • Meet with clients to discuss brand guidelines, goals, budgets, and timelines, facilitating clear communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Deliver quality product labels and perform label design services to our customers
  • Review the performance of ongoing campaigns, analyze outcomes, and pitch new ideas or adjust strategies to maximize success.
  • Produce and update a comprehensive brand style guide that encapsulates the company’s mission and voice, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Assist with the design, negotiation, and placement of ads across multiple channels, including our website, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Website Management update website content, images, and layout
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management

Education and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field
  • 3 years of marketing or communications experience (internships and freelance work included)
  • Experience managing projects or marketing initiatives independently is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills required

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently, often under tight deadlines
  • Strong writing skills with attention to grammar, tone, and clarity
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop)
  • Familiarity with website platforms
  • Comfortable working with email platforms
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and accountability in all work performed
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
  • Capable of handling time-sensitive tasks and tight deadlines

Physical Demands:

  • Required to reach with arms and use hands and fingers to handle documentation and inventory
  • Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, bend, sit, talk, hear, climb stairs and ladders

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment:

  • Work in an office environment
  • May be in contact with Allergens (Milk, Eggs, Fish, Crustacean Shellfish. Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Wheat, and Soybeans)
  • Potential to move between office and warehouse areas to complete job functions, include close proximity to heavy machinery and powders
  • This position is onsite

Compliance with New York State Human Rights Pay Transparency Law, the annual rate range for this position is 60K to 75K. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. MTC considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
