Job Title: Marketing & Digital Content Specialist (Full-Time)

Work Location: In-office Monday – Friday in Chapel Hill, optional remote work Fridays.

As our Digital Content Specialist, you’ll get to share stories that matter—bringing the heart of our Village to life.

The Job: We’re seeking a versatile Marketing & Digital Content Specialist to take ownership of digital content creation, social media management, brand communications, and design across our organization. This is a unique opportunity to build and execute creative marketing strategies that balance warmth and storytelling with professionalism and credibility. The ideal candidate is a great human and a self-starter with excellent communication skills, creativity, and a strong grasp of digital marketing trends. This role also comes with upward growth potential as our marketing function expands, creating opportunities to take on bigger projects and added responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities: We’re looking for someone with a “pitch in” attitude who can adapt to an ever-evolving task list. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Create and manage content calendars for our organization, ensuring consistent posting across social media and digital platforms.
  • Write and edit engaging content for blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, and websites, with attention to SEO and audience needs.
  • Design digital and print materials including social graphics, brochures, event flyers, and presentation decks.
  • Run surrogate and intended parent recruitment campaigns, including ads, landing pages, testimonials, videos, and community-building initiatives.
  • Support law firm marketing with educational posts, LinkedIn updates, reputation management, and materials for speaking engagements.
  • Produce multimedia content, such as short videos, infographics, and other visuals to share stories and explain processes.
  • Coordinate and promote events for surrogates, intended parents, and community partners.
  • Track performance metrics for social, email, and web campaigns, and share reports with recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure all communications reflect brand voice, business goals, and legal/ethical guidelines.
  • Maintain an organized library of marketing assets, templates, and resources for easy reuse.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 2–4+ years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, and/or communications.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and platforms.
  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Graphic design experience (Canva required; Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
  • Familiarity with website management and blogging platforms (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, or similar).
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar).
  • Ability to track, interpret, and report on analytics to guide content performance.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a small-team environment.
  • Highly organized, curious, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects, juggle deadlines, and adapt quickly in a small-team environment.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience in healthcare, surrogacy, or legal industries.
  • Video creation and editing skills.
  • SEO and digital advertising (Google Ads, Meta Ads).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $45,000-$53,000
