Marketing Director

IRONCLAD is seeking a Marketing Director - we need a strategic architect to be the on-site engine at our Virginia Beach HQ, transforming our content output into a high-velocity growth and revenue machine. This is a total ownership role for a leader with the authority to build scalable marketing systems and the grit to ensure our brand owns the conversation—every single day.

ACCOUNTS DIRECTOR

IRONCLAD | Virginia Beach, VA (On-site)


THE ROLE


We are looking for a Marketing Director to own audience growth, launch strategy, ad operations, engagement, and revenue-driving marketing execution across the entire IRONCLAD ecosystem.


This role sits at the intersection of:

  • Originals
  • Studios
  • Social
  • Distribution
  • Audience growth
  • Ad buying
  • Newsletter strategy
  • Launch campaigns
  • Cross-network monetization


You will work directly with leadership, production, creative, and sales teams to help turn shows, films, podcasts, and IP into scalable audience machines.


This is not a “brand awareness only” marketing role.


This is a performance-driven role focused on:

  • growing downloads,
  • increasing engagement,
  • supporting sales,
  • maximizing launches,
  • and driving measurable business outcomes.


WHAT YOU’LL OWN

ORIGINALS LAUNCH STRATEGY

  • Build and execute launch plans for new original franchises and shows
  • Coordinate rollout calendars across social, newsletter, YouTube, paid media, podcasts, and partnerships
  • Develop audience-growth strategies around major releases and IP launches
  • Create hype cycles, teaser campaigns, trailer rollouts, giveaways, and launch momentum

SOCIAL MEDIA & AUDIENCE GROWTH

  • Own IRONCLAD’s social media strategy and publishing cadence
  • Grow audience engagement across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Facebook, and emerging platforms
  • Develop platform-specific content strategies
  • Work with editors and creative teams to deploy clips, trailers, BTS content, announcements, and voice-of-authority content
  • Track audience behavior and optimize performance

NEWSLETTER & DISTRIBUTION

  • Own weekly newsletter strategy and execution
  • Drive opens, CTR, engagement, and conversions
  • Coordinate messaging across Originals, Studios, launches, sponsors, and major announcements
  • Build systems for audience retention and repeat engagement

AD OPS & REVENUE SUPPORT

  • Run cross-network advertising operations
  • Coordinate takeovers, giveaways, sponsorship integrations, and promotional inventory
  • Track campaign delivery and performance
  • Support sales initiatives with audience analytics, marketing assets, and launch support
  • Help maximize monetization opportunities across the network

PAID MEDIA & AD BUYING

  • Manage paid media strategy across Meta, YouTube, Google, podcast platforms, and other channels
  • Analyze CAC, ROAS, engagement, and audience growth metrics
  • Test and optimize creative, targeting, and spend allocation
  • Develop scalable acquisition strategies for podcasts, shows, products, and launches

TEAM & EXECUTION

  • Work cross-functionally with:
  • Studios
  • Originals
  • Production
  • Creative
  • Sales
  • Leadership
  • Ensure launches happen on time and at a high level
  • Bring structure, organization, and accountability to marketing execution
  • Help build repeatable marketing systems that scale


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

MUST HAVE

  • Strong understanding of audience-building and modern media ecosystems
  • Experience running social media and paid media campaigns
  • Experience managing launches and content rollouts
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to move fast under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Deep understanding of internet culture, content strategy, and engagement mechanics
  • Ability to think creatively while staying performance-focused

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience in podcast, media, entertainment, or creator ecosystems
  • Experience with newsletter growth and retention
  • Understanding of YouTube strategy and optimization
  • Experience managing ad operations or sponsorship execution
  • Familiarity with AI marketing tools and automation systems
  • Passion for storytelling, culture, entrepreneurship, military, outdoors, fitness, or high-performance audiences

This is a fully in-person position based at IRONCLAD Global Headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
