About the Role

We are a long-established mortgage team in the Boulder/Denver market with a clearly defined brand and strong market trust.

We are hiring an in-office Marketing & Event Coordinator to ensure our brand continues to show up consistently and intelligently across all channels — email, social media, events, and emerging platforms.

This role blends strategic awareness with hands-on execution. It is not a graphic designer or creative director role, but it does require strong platform knowledge, good judgment, and the ability to execute work cleanly inside existing brand standards.

What You Will Own

  • Execution of marketing through ActiveCampaign
  • Ongoing social media execution across major platforms
  • Awareness of emerging and up-and-coming media platforms
  • Monthly newsletter creation and distribution
  • Marketing support and promotion for events and classes
  • Light design and layout work (emails and simple assets) using existing brand guidelines
  • Coordination with external designers when needed
  • Maintaining consistent marketing cadence so the brand remains visible and relevant

Platform & Distribution Thinking

This role requires understanding how brands show up everywhere today, not just on one channel.

You are expected to:

  • Understand how different platforms serve different purposes
  • Think beyond traditional SEO toward broader “everywhere optimization”
  • Be aware of how AI tools influence brand discovery and authority
  • Apply new tools and platform changes practically, not experimentally

This is about relevance and consistency, not chasing trends.

Design & Creativity Expectations

This role requires design fluency, not design ownership.

You should be comfortable:

  • Creating clean, readable layouts
  • Working inside established brand guidelines
  • Adjusting spacing, hierarchy, and formatting for clarity
  • Using tools like Canva and Adobe
  • Knowing when something looks off — and when to escalate to a designer

You will not:

  • Redesign the brand
  • Change brand colors, fonts, or visual hierarchy
  • Create a new visual system
  • Act as a creative director

Creativity here means clarity, judgment, and execution, not visual experimentation.

Requirements

  • Experience executing email marketing (ActiveCampaign or similar preferred)
  • Strong familiarity with major social media platforms
  • Curiosity about emerging media and AI tools
  • Light design/layout experience (emails, simple assets)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work full-time from our Boulder office
