Marketing Intern

Job Title: Marketing Intern

Location: Remote

Position Type: Part-Time, Volunteer, Temporary (6-month commitment), Entry Level

Reports to: Leadership Team

About Us

Men On Purpose, Inc. is a growing, membership-driven Christian 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission “to exert [Christ’s] kingdom influence on families, organizations, communities, and the world by empowering men with life-transforming wisdom.” In essence, we provide virtual discipleship, leadership coaching, and authentic biblical community to help men develop into influential, Christ-centered servant leaders who live with spiritual depth, integrity, and purpose at home, at work, and in the world.

Our organizational culture is purpose-driven, relational, and impact-focused. We operate like a startup ministry — agile, creative, and deeply committed to spiritual and personal transformation.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Marketing Intern to help amplify our voice, grow our reach, and deepen engagement with our audience. This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited for someone who wants real experience in digital marketing, branding, content production, and growth strategy within a ministry-driven organization. Ideal candidates include college students, recent graduates, retirees/semi-retirees, and/or career changers looking to shift into ministry support.

Reporting Structure: This position reports 50% to the Creative Director (content and branding) and 50% to the Growth Director (audience growth and member experience).
Commitment: ~3-5 hours per week for 6 months
Compensation: Modest stipend potentially available.

Key Responsibilities
Creative Direction & Brand Storytelling (Approx. 50%)

  • Assist in editing and producing weekly podcast episodes
  • Help edit and repurpose long-form video content (mainly raw footage from virtual member gatherings) into short-form clips for social media (approx. 3 clips per day)
  • Help maintain brand voice and visual consistency across digital platforms
  • Support storytelling initiatives that highlight member transformation and ministry impact

Growth Strategy & Member Experience (Approx. 50%)

  • Help edit, assemble, and schedule member e-newsletters (2–4 per month)
  • Assist with content production for member training videos (4–6 per month)
  • Support digital marketing initiatives aimed at audience growth and engagement
  • Contribute ideas for improving member communication, retention, and overall experience

What Makes This Role Unique

This is not a coffee-fetching internship. Rather, you will:

  • Build a real portfolio of content, campaigns, and branded assets
  • Gain experience in both creative production and growth strategy
  • Work directly with ministry leaders and decision-makers
  • Contribute to a movement focused on spiritual transformation and leadership development

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong passion for digital marketing, branding, sales, and content creation
  • Familiarity with video and podcast editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar; although we currently use Riverside and OpusClip).
  • Comfortable working with digital platforms and content systems (GoHighLevel, etc.)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Organized, reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and interdependently in a remote environment
  • Alignment with Christian faith values and comfort working in a faith-based context

Preferred

  • Experience with social media content strategy
  • Experience with public relations, sales, and/or customer service
  • Basic understanding of audience growth or online community-building
  • Familiarity with SEO tools, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Advertising, and SEM (Search Engine Marketing) strategies
