Position Summary
RP Constructors & Civil Engineers & Constructors (CEC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Summer Intern to support internal and external initiatives across our heavy civil and industrial construction operations. This role will assist with website management, digital marketing, internal communications, branding materials, and strategic marketing projects.
Key Responsibilities
Website & Digital Presence
- Assist with website updates, content uploads, and page optimization
- Support search engine optimization (SEO) efforts, including keyword research and data improvements
- Ensure brand consistency across digital platforms
Social Media & Content Planning
- Draft posts for LinkedIn, Facebook, and other platforms
- Assist in project highlight posts, employee recognition content, and recruiting campaigns
- Capture and organize jobsite photos and marketing visuals
- Monitor engagement metrics and recommend strategy adjustments
Internal Marketing & Communications
- Assist in developing internal newsletters, safety campaign materials, and employee announcements
- Create internal marketing pieces aligned with company initiatives (Safety Day, hiring campaigns, leadership development, etc.)
- Support event and company culture communications
Branding & Design
- Design branded materials including:
- Stationery (letterhead, envelopes, business cards)
- Brochures and capability statements
- Ensure consistency with company brand standards
AI & Marketing Technology
- Utilize AI tools to assist in content development, analytics, and workflow efficiencies
- Support automation initiatives for marketing processes
- Research new digital marketing technologies relevant to construction and engineering firms
General Marketing Support
- Assist with project proposal marketing support as needed
- Support career fair and recruiting campaign preparation
- Provide administrative support for marketing initiatives
Skills & Competencies
- Working knowledge of website platforms (WordPress or similar CMS preferred)
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and keyword strategy
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content planning tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
- Strong written communication skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Interest in construction, engineering, or industrial industries preferred
- Familiarity with AI tools and emerging marketing technologies
