Marketing Manager Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Marketing Manager to drive the visibility and success of our auctions and consignment process. This role is ideal for a creative, organised Marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across marketing, events, exhibitions, and press engagement.
As Marketing Manager, you will work closely with internal and external teams to support the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns and lead on client-facing and promotional events, high-profile exhibitions, and press activity. With a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and hands-on approach, you’ll ensure that our consignment outreach and auction campaigns stand out to consignors, bidders, press, and the wider public.
Auction and Consignments Marketing
- Collaborate with the global Marketing team to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns for US Auctions - around 8-14 auctions per year
- Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns promoting global consignment opportunities across all auction categories (music, posters, props, animation, etc.).
- Drive audience engagement through social media, email campaigns, and targeted outreach to past bidders and new prospects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver creative, on-brand marketing assets and content.
- Lead on event-specific branding and outreach, ensuring consistency across internal exhibitions, client events, and external partnerships.
- Execute digital content across the website, social media, and internal platforms.
Event Planning & Execution
- Lead the organisation and delivery of promotional events, including pre-auction Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction showcases, consignment drives, and press or influencer days.
- Oversee end-to-end event logistics, from planning and guest coordination to on-the-ground execution.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure events align with brand identity, marketing strategy, and commercial goals.
- Conduct post-event analysis and reporting to measure impact and refine future activities.
Display & Exhibition Coordination
- Plan and execute on-site and off-site exhibitions, including major showcases such as SDCC, consignment events, and internal displays.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, and graphics teams to bring exhibition concepts to life.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and logistics to deliver impactful, visually engaging displays.
- Oversee hands-on exhibition setup and breakdown, including managing packing lists, supplies, shipping, and display installation to ensure smooth, efficient execution.
Press and Influencer Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate in-house press and influencer visits.
- Manage and support press-related setups and displays to ensure brand consistency and professionalism.
- Lead collaboration with our LA-based press agency, Blaze, to coordinate U.S. press bookings, organize and prep for press events, and liaise with journalists, media outlets, and partners to maximize exposure during press visits.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support the wider global Marketing team organizing, planning and executing US-based marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Support the marketing team with day-to-day administrative tasks, including answering calls and responding to emails.
- Day to day management and support of Marketing Assistant
Optional: On-Camera Presenting
- Support social media and promotional content by stepping in front of the camera when needed.
- Confidently present to audiences in a clear, engaging style that reflects the brand.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in marketing, events management, press coordination, or a hybrid creative role (arts, entertainment, or auctions background is a plus).
- A proactive multitasker with strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
- Comfortable building strong and trusted relationships with internal teams, external partners, press, and clients.
- Creative thinker with a strategic approach and strong attention to detail.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience managing and organizing spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Experience with newsletter/email distribution platforms and blogging platforms, such as MailChimp and WordPress.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite (specifically Photoshop and InDesign).
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Works well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CCPA/GDPR training experience (preferred but not required; training will be provided).

Must-Have Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in a similar marketing role.
- Marketing degree or relevant experience.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
