The Marketing Manager is a key strategic partner responsible for promoting the Chinese Community Center’s (CCC) mission, programs, and events to the community, partners, and funders. This role oversees all marketing efforts—including digital, print, social media, and media relations—and ensures consistent brand representation across all platforms. The Marketing Manager will also provide creative support for events, outreach campaigns, and cultural programs, driving community engagement and visibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and web design platforms.
- Hands-on experience in photography, videography, and content creation.
- 1-2 years of experience in the Marketing sector.
- Proficiency in Chinese is highly desirable.
- Highly detail-oriented, flexible, creative, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Knowledge of SEO, Google Business, and analytics tools.
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that advance CCC’s mission, programs, events, and fundraising initiatives.
- Ensure consistent brand identity and messaging across all communication channels, including print, digital, and social media.
- Manage and maintain CCC’s website, social media platforms, and digital presence to ensure timely and engaging promotion of programs, events, career opportunities, and volunteer involvement.
- Create and design marketing materials such as flyers, newsletters, videos, and digital content to effectively communicate CCC’s impact and opportunities.
- Coordinate logistics and promotional efforts for major organizational events and campaigns.
- Build and sustain relationships with media outlets to secure coverage for CCC programs, events, and community partnerships.
- Monitor and evaluate marketing analytics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and refine strategies based on performance insights.
- Serve as CCC’s spokesperson for media inquiries and public communications to enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation.
- Collaborate with the Program Department to promote CCC’s programs, services, and community impact.
- Partner with the Fund Development Department to support fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and special events that drive awareness and contributions.
- Support community outreach, cultural initiatives, and collaborative partnerships that align with CCC’s mission and strengthen its role as a community hub.
- Optimize CCC’s online presence, including managing Google Business listings, online reviews, and digital directories.
- Identify and cultivate new community and corporate partnerships to expand CCC’s visibility, engagement, and support base.
- Strong research skills with the ability to leverage academic, government, and news sources to support marketing campaigns and grant proposals.
- Excellent attention to detail in proofreading, content creation, and project execution.
- Strong time and project management skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to work cooperatively with diverse teams, volunteers, and community partners.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for both English and Chinese-speaking audiences.
- Sitting: Must be able to sit at desk to type, make calls, etc.
- Lifting: Must be able to frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and infrequently, 20 lbs.
- Job duties will be conducted primarily at the office.
- Occasional travel within Greater Houston to attend grant information sessions and other events.
- Work hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- This position requires working after hours and on weekends for special events and urgent projects.
- Annual performance appraisal based on goals, deliverables, and impact on CCC’s visibility, community engagement, and fundraising outcomes.
