Marketing Manager – Ripley’s Myrtle Beach Aquarium & Attractions

Position Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing creative, data-driven marketing strategies that increase attendance, revenue, and brand awareness for our attraction. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution across digital, social, partnerships, promotions, and on-site marketing. The ideal candidate understands how to market experiences, not just products, and thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to drive ticket sales, group bookings, and special events

Manage digital marketing efforts including social media, email campaigns, paid advertising, website content, and SEO

Create and oversee seasonal promotions, campaigns, and special event marketing initiatives

Analyze performance metrics (attendance, conversion, engagement, ROI) and adjust strategies accordingly

Collaborate with operations, sales, food & beverage, and guest experience teams to align messaging and promotions

Manage partnerships with local businesses, tourism organizations, hotels, and CVBs

Represent the attraction in news interviews, media appearances, and live television segments to promote events, campaigns, and brand awareness

Oversee brand consistency across all platforms including on-site signage, advertising, and guest communications

Coordinate influencer visits, media outreach, and public relations opportunities

Manage marketing budgets & budget timelines

Create marketing assets through graphic design and photo/video content creation for digital, social, and on-site use

Stay current on attraction industry trends, guest behavior, and emerging marketing tools

Work scheduled floor shifts to gain firsthand guest experience and support daily operations as needed

Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) on a rotating basis, providing leadership, decision-making, and guest satisfaction

Be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require

Qualifications

3–5 years of marketing experience (attractions, entertainment, tourism, hospitality, or events preferred)

Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, managing a marketing budget, and analytics tools

Experience creating promotions that drive foot traffic and guest engagement

Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills

Creative thinker with a strong attention to detail

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings for special events as needed
