Role Overview

We're looking for a dynamic and strategic Marketing Manager to lead marketing initiatives for our brand acquisition arm. This person will serve as the voice of CERTUS to prospective sellers, private equity partners, and the broader pest control industry. From digital campaigns to event planning, from video storytelling to seller testimonial development, this role is equal parts strategist, creator, and brand evangelist.


Key Responsibilities

  • Acquisition Marketing & Content Development
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that positions CERTUS as the leading acquirer in the pest control industry.
  • Create compelling, SEO-optimized content (blogs, landing pages, case studies, seller spotlights) that speaks to prospective sellers and strategic partners.
  • Manage the CERTUS website with a focus on CRO and thought leadership visibility.
  • Own the CERTUS M&A brand across LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram, tailoring messaging for each platform.
  • Partner closely with the M&A team to translate real seller stories into testimonial content and video case studies.
  • Video & Creative Production
  • Storyboard, script, and produce short-form video content for organic and paid campaigns.
  • Capture and repurpose testimonial interviews, on-site footage, and brand storytelling assets.
  • Collaborate with video editors or vendors as needed to scale content production.
  • Event Marketing & Industry Presence
  • Lead CERTUS’ presence at key tradeshows, industry summits, and M&A events.
  • Coordinate logistics, booth design, and event branding.
  • Partner with the acquisition team to identify strategic sponsorship opportunities and negotiate vendor agreements.
  • Track event ROI and lead generation metrics tied to acquisition outreach.
  • Strategic Branding & Messaging
  • Refine and reinforce CERTUS’ brand narrative in all external-facing assets.
  • Serve as the go-to marketing partner for the VP of Acquisitions and Business Development team.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors to adjust messaging and positioning accordingly.
Requirements:

Qualifications & Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, content creation, or brand strategy preferably within home services, B2B, or PE-backed environments.
  • Proven expertise managing website content, SEO, and social media strategy across multiple platforms.
  • Comfortable writing, filming, and editing short-form videos using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, CapCut, or similar.
  • Experience managing tradeshows or B2B field events.
  • Solid understanding of marketing analytics and reporting tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to translate technical or operational details into compelling brand stories.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work across time zones/markets.
  • Experience in M&A marketing or working with founders is a plus.
  • Passion for local business storytelling and a knack for spotting what makes a brand truly stand out.
