Marketing Manager- Retail

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide strategic direction and lead the Marketing function MHG with a view to enhance the profile of MHG and expand its customer base, promote revenue growth and long-term strategic positioning; drive standardization in marketing activities including the development and execution of strategy related to digital media, advertising, public relations, influencers, branding, sales and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) activities to ensure consistency with the Group strategic direction.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop the Marketing Department policies and procedures in order to ensure the fulfilment of organizational requirements.
  • Oversee the operations of the Marketing Department, provide expertise, encourage teamwork and facilitate related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards and staff pride in contribution.
  • Set and manage the yearly budget of the Marketing Department and control expenditure to ensure optimal use.
  • Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, to increase desirability and market share.
  • Devise integrated marketing campaigns with the aim of acquiring new customers and retaining existing customers through the various channels.
  • Assist with managing Influencer relationships & executing collaboration contracts.
  • Identify and build strong relationships with key influencers in line with the brand across all social platforms and communicating with the PR dispatch team to ensure PR orders are actioned as per deadlines.
  • Lead the execution of marketing activities from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration.
  • Ensure ROI for each campaign, review learnings and possible insights to keep the marketing plan updated with new insights.
  • Brainstorm new, creative approaches to influencer marketing campaigns.
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors.
  • Planning and organizing experiential events, tactical activations, collaborations and partnership with 3rd parties.
  • Oversee the development of a robust marketing research function enabling ongoing research projects that drive business strategy and provide insights that can be leveraged in decision-making across the marketing function and beyond.
  • Analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies.
  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely.

  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of the Total Brand Experience across all touch points.
