The Role
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Operations Manager will manage 360 digital marketing activations, owning the end-to-end operational delivery and execution across a set of designated portfolio companies. Ensuring the timely delivery of all projects and tasks. This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, marketing execution, and operational rigor. You will manage a multi-functional team responsible for delivering core marketing functions, ensuring that work is prioritised, well scoped, and delivered on time and to standard. You will act as the operational owner of our task management platform for the entire marketing department, providing visibility, accountability, and predictability across the portfolio. You will eventually create and manage a team of resources assigned for your own pod of port cos, this role is positioned to independently run dedicated unit assigned to his/her set of designated port cos within the marketing department and ensures alignment with shared standards, cadence, and portfolio priorities. The role is ideal for a marketing operator who understands how marketing functions come together and excels at orchestrating execution with a team of cross functional executives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Work with a team of multidisciplinary marketing professionals, eventually leading a dedicated pod supporting 4–6 designated portfolio companies across defined marketing workstreams as the portfolio expands.
- Manage and coach teams with respect to content, design and other channel specialists.
- Own sprint planning, task allocation, and execution cadence.
- Ensure consistent quality, throughput, and alignment to each Port Co’s GTM priorities
- Act as the first point of accountability for delivery, timelines, and outcomes for the assigned set of Port Cos to support.
Marketing Execution Oversight (Functional Scope)You are accountable for the delivery and coordination of the following marketing functions:
- Branding, Design & Creative Management
- Content Marketing (web, social, sales enablement, thought leadership)
- Social Media Management (strategy and distribution)
- CRM & Email Marketing (campaign execution, CRM ops and lifecycle support)
- Paid Media & Performance Marketing (execution, coordination and reporting)
- Search Engine Optimization (optimization, maintenance & organic visibility)
- Website Design & Development (ongoing updates, launches, and optimisation)
You ensure these functions are:
- Properly scoped and briefed
- Prioritised correctly across portfolio needs
- Delivered to quality and timeline expectations
Marketing Operations & Delivery Excellence
- Own Monday.com for the entire marketing function.
- Oversee all tasks, workflows, dashboards, and capacity planning inside Monday.com across the portfolio.
- Act as the driver of deadlines, ensuring all team members across both pods hit delivery commitments.
- Enforce accurate task updates, deadlines, and status management across the team.
- Identify bottlenecks early and proactively resolve them.
- Maintain a portfolio-wide view of resource capacity, velocity, and risks.
- Improve and enforce structured intake, high-quality briefs, and standardised templates.
- Optimise workflow processes to increase output and reduce operational friction.
Coordination & Portfolio Alignment
- Work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to maintain alignment across the portfolio.
- Provide a unified operational heartbeat for the entire marketing team.
- Redistribute or reprioritise tasks between task owners based on urgency, capacity, or portfolio demand.
- Communicate timelines, risks, and changes proactively to stakeholders.
- Ensure operations adhere to shared operating standards, delivery cadence, and quality benchmarks.
Stakeholder & Portfolio Management
- Support portfolio company leaders with project scoping and delivery roadmaps
- Maintain predictable communication and delivery visibility
- Develop a strong understanding of each portco’s commercial goals
- Ensure marketing execution supports measurable business outcomes
What Success Looks LikeWithin your first 3–6 months, you will:
- Deliver consistent execution across all core marketing functions
- Improve delivery predictability and operational clarity across the department
- Reduce bottlenecks and implement scalable marketing operations processes
- Be recognised as the operational backbone of marketing execution
- Independently operate a complete marketing unit/pod with minimal escalation
Skills & ExperienceMust Have
- 6–10 years of B2B marketing experience (tech, software or multi-brand preferred)
- Strong understanding of end-to-end marketing functions and delivery cycles
- Proven experience leading marketing teams, units or pods
- Deep strength in marketing operations, workflow management, and prioritisation
- Experience managing content, creative, digital, and demand execution
- Confident stakeholder communication and ownership mindset
- Hands-on experience with Monday.com, HubSpot, and similar platforms
Nice to Have
- Experience in an internal agency or high-volume delivery environment
- Experience supporting multiple brands or business units simultaneously
