We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role will play a key part in supporting the growth of our national brands by assisting with marketing initiatives across e-commerce, tradeshows, and retail channels. The Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with the Customer Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to grow the business, execute campaigns, develop content, assist in product launches, manage online retail portal information, and ensure consistent brand presentation across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

National Brand Support

  • Assist in the execution of marketing programs for our national brands, ensuring consistency with brand voice and positioning.
  • Support the development of marketing materials including sell sheets, presentations, and promotional assets for key accounts.
  • Coordinate with sales and creative teams to update and maintain marketing collateral.
  • Assist in New Product Launch activities ---

E-Commerce

  • Manage product listings and content updates across e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Chewy, brand websites, etc.).
  • Optimize product descriptions, images, and keywords to drive online sales and visibility.
  • Monitor online reviews, ratings, and competitive activity, reporting insights to the marketing team.
  • Support promotional campaigns and digital advertising efforts.
  • Help manage online retail portal information for Phelps brands (e.g., item set-up, content, product descriptions)

Tradeshow & Event Support

  • Coordinate logistics for tradeshows and customer events including booth preparation, shipping of materials, and post-show follow-up.
  • Assist in the development of tradeshow collateral, signage, and product displays.
  • Provide on-site support at key events as needed. Poise & strong interpersonal skills to engage with tradeshow participants.

General Marketing Support

  • Help manage project timelines to ensure on-time delivery of campaigns and assets.
  • Assist in content creation for email, social media, and digital channels.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to support strategy development.
  • Track and report on campaign performance and marketing ROI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of marketing experience (consumer goods, pet, or CPG industry experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with design/CRM tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms (Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel for tradeshows and customer events (up to 10–15%).
