Marketing Specialist – Remote

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company goals and revenue targets
  • Define target buyer personas and ideal customer profiles (ICPs) for our diverse product portfolio
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform positioning and messaging
  • Set measurable marketing KPIs and track progress against objectives
  • Create quarterly and annual marketing roadmaps

Digital Marketing & Campaign Execution

  • Plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels (email, social media, content, paid advertising)
  • Manage and grow our presence on LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and other relevant social platforms
  • Develop and implement email marketing campaigns and nurture sequences
  • Set up and manage marketing automation workflows (HubSpot, Marketo, or similar platforms)
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reporting with actionable insights

Content Marketing & Communications

  • Create compelling marketing content including blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, and product comparisons
  • Develop product positioning documents and messaging frameworks
  • Write and edit website copy, email templates, and promotional materials
  • Collaborate with team members to produce video content, webinars, and product demonstrations
  • Maintain an editorial calendar and ensure consistent brand voice across all communications

Lead Generation & Sales Support

  • Drive lead generation initiatives through content marketing, digital advertising, and outbound campaigns
  • Create sales enablement materials (presentations, one-pagers, product guides, ROI calculators)
  • Support the sales team with market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer insights
  • Track lead sources and conversion rates to optimize acquisition channels
  • Work closely with sales to establish and refine the lead qualification process

Brand & Product Marketing

  • Establish and maintain consistent brand identity and messaging across all channels
  • Develop marketing collateral and promotional materials
  • Create product launch strategies and go-to-market plans
  • Monitor and manage brand reputation across digital channels
  • Develop customer success stories and testimonials

Analytics & Optimization

  • Set up and maintain marketing analytics infrastructure (Google Analytics, CRM tracking, etc.)
  • Produce monthly performance reports with metrics, insights, and recommendations
  • A/B test marketing campaigns and landing pages to improve conversion rates
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously optimize marketing efforts
  • Track marketing ROI and customer acquisition cost (CAC)

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work

  • Partner with the sales team to align marketing and sales efforts
  • Work with product teams to understand feature benefits and communicate value propositions
  • Collaborate with customer success to gather customer feedback and testimonials
  • Coordinate with design and development teams on marketing materials and website updates

Experience

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of professional marketing experience (B2B SaaS experience highly preferred)
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Experience with digital marketing channels including email, social media, content marketing, and SEO
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and qualify leads
  • Experience using marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp, or similar)
  • Experience with CRM systems and data analysis

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Google Analytics and web analytics platforms
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing tools and platforms
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and LinkedIn advertising
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles and search marketing
  • Comfortable learning and using new marketing software and tools
  • Proficiency with productivity tools (project management, spreadsheets, presentation software)

Knowledge & Expertise

  • Strong understanding of B2B buyer journeys and sales cycles
  • Working knowledge of software products and SaaS business models
  • Understanding of marketing funnel optimization and lead nurturing
  • Familiarity with different software solutions (CRM, ERP, e-commerce platforms) is a plus
  • Understanding of digital marketing metrics and ROI calculation

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of technical concepts and ability to communicate complex features simply

Experience in the software/technology industry (enterprise software, SaaS)

Background in B2B marketing or demand generation

Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) or sales development

Knowledge of product-led growth (PLG) strategies

Marketing certifications (Google Analytics, HubSpot Academy, Facebook Blueprint)

Experience with customer relationship management and sales enablement

Familiarity with basic graphic design tools (Canva, Figma)
