This internship is content-driven and client-facing, with a strong emphasis on in-person client visits, on-site content shoots, video editing, and social media posting in the Austin area. From strategy to execution, the team member will contribute to TRMG’s consultative full-stack digital marketing process within a data-driven and performance-focused agency environment. With training, this role will gradually take on additional responsibilities to support earned, organic and paid marketing strategies (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube; Meta Ads and Google Ads; Google Search Console), plus TRMG Systems—including Website Management on TRMG Orbit and Client Management in TRMG Stratos.

Summer Associates at The Rogers Marketing Group (TRMG) will gain hands-on, paid experience working directly with real client accounts alongside account leadership in a highly visible environment with direct exposure to client work. Throughout the role, team members build impactful and portfolio-ready experiences across content creation, social media management, SEO fundamentals, and website optimization.

Qualifications

• Current sophomore or junior in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Prior professional experience is not required. Curiosity, willingness to problem solve, and trainability matter most.
• Located in Austin, TX for the duration of the summer internship
• Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite, Google Analytics and website tools preferred
• Comfortable with client visits and on-site content creation
• Superior curiosity, problem solving and analytical thinking
• Organized, reliable, and eager to learn in an agency environment

Key Responsibilities

Client Content & Social Media Execution

• Attend in-person client visits in Austin for content shoots and collaboration
• Capture trending and functional photo and video content for social media platforms that create, entertain or inform highly targeted audiences
• Edit short-form video content using CapCut or similar tools
• Design supporting graphics using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Create excellent, platform- and audience-informed post adaptations with trending or functional copy and channel-specific features
• Strategize and execute an omnichannel approach to modern-day social media
• Maintain brand consistency across multiple client accounts

Client Visits & Field Work

• Must be based in Austin, TX during the summer internship period
• Regular local travel to client locations is required
• Access to a reliable vehicle is required
• All client-related travel and expenses are fully covered by TRMG

SEO & Digital Marketing (Added Over Time)

• Assist with keyword research and on-page SEO implementation
• Support content optimization for blogs and landing pages
• Learn SEO reporting and performance analysis fundamentals

Website Development & Optimization (Added Over Time)

• Assist with building and updating websites (TRMG Orbit or WordPress)
• Upload and structure content using SEO-first, conversion-focused principles
• Research qualitative and quantitative areas for improvement using Google Analytics and Session Recording tools
• Translate UX and on-page optimization improvements into value-adding conversion strategies for TRMG client partners

Learning Objectives

• Apply marketing and advertising theory to real client work
• Gain hands-on experience with in-person content creation and social media execution
• Develop practical skills in video editing, posting, and content planning
• Learn foundational SEO and website development skills
• Build a multi-industry results-first digital marketing portfolio with scaling businesses
• Understand agency workflows and client expectations

Supervision & Evaluation

• Structured learning and training opportunities to meet TRMG standards
• Mentorship by a TRMG Associate and Leadership
• Ongoing feedback and structured evaluations provided
• Upon request, TRMG will complete all required academic documentation
