Mason

Key Responsibilities1. Masonry Work

• Carry out bricklaying, block work, plastering, tiling, stone installation, and related tasks.
• Construct and repair walls, partitions, floors, and other structural components.
• Apply smooth or textured finishes as per project specifications.

2. Site Preparation

• Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Measure, mark, and layout work areas accurately.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying base materials or bonding agents.

3. Material & Tool Handling

• Mix mortar, concrete, grout, and plaster manually or using machinery.
• Ensure correct material ratios and consistency.
• Safely operate and maintain masonry tools and equipment.

4. Quality Control

• Ensure all works meet company quality standards and project requirements.
• Perform precise and clean finishing for aesthetic and structural integrity.

5. Safety Compliance

• Follow workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Identify and report hazards or potential risks immediately.

6. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trade workers.
• Report daily progress, material shortages, and site issues.
• Follow all instructions and complete tasks within required timeframes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mason in construction or fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read basic drawings and measurements.
• Physically fit to handle manual tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience preferred.
