- Maintaining tools and workspaces.
- Cutting, shaping and dressing materials.

- Tear down, rebuild, and point chimneys.
- Cut openings into walls, ceilings, and floors constructed of masonry materials.
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling cracks or holes to create a smooth base. This may involve using tools like sanders and scrapers.
- Mixing Paints: Mix and match paint colors and textures to meet project specifications or replicate existing finishes.
- Application of Finishes: Apply paint, varnish, and sealants using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and high-quality results.
- Client Interaction: Meet with clients to discuss color schemes, project requirements, and timelines, providing expert advice on materials and techniques.
- Maintenance of Equipment: Maintain and clean painting equipment to ensure proper performance and longevity.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, especially when working at heights or with hazardous materials
