Master Mariner

We are seeking experienced Marine Representatives to join our team and provide expert marine knowledge, oversight and supervision to ensure all operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Client procedures and regulatory standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintain a consistent presence on the bridge, promoting safe navigational and operational practices.
• Ensure permit-to-work compliance for all marine activities.
• Actively contribute to HSE and operational meetings onboard.
• Coach Masters and Crew on company-specific marine standards and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and ensure effective follow-up.
• Conduct internal audits, safety inspections, and crew competency assessments.
• Review operational and project-specific documentation.
• Support vessel vetting, inspections, and observation close-outs.
• Contribute to MOU/MODU rig move planning and execution.
• Maintain detailed records of vessel downtimes and incidents.
• Monitor contractor Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).
• Ensure compliance with HIRA, HAZID, and other risk assessment frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid STCW A II/2 Deck Certificate of Competency .
• 10+ years sailing experience , including 5+ years in senior roles .
• Previous experience as a Marine Representative in offshore oil & gas is preferred.
• Operational experience across various vessel types in construction and support roles.
• Strong working knowledge of IMO conventions, Class rules, and industry best practices.
